HOUSE owners must be feeling a bit edgy these days, with the rise in the number of unauthorised entries or break-ins.Towards that end, Inix Tech-nologies Sdn Bhd plans to introduce a basic wireless alarm system called SecureSmith EZ that offers security and automation features for all homes.
  Expected to be available later this year, the wireless system is easy to install, without the need to worry about wires and cables running across the house.
  Inix's marketing manager Andy Teh Heng Joo said SecureSmith EZ is essentially a do-it-yourself package that can be purchased off the shelf. This means that a user can easily set up the alarm system in their home, he added.

  The SecureSmith EZ comes in two packages. Both packages consists of a main control panel, three G-LOP sockets, an infra-red keypad, two units of four-buttons hanheld commander, one internal siren and accessories such as cables, antenna, etc. The first package comes with five digital radio frequency (D-RF) magnetics while the second package with 25 D-RF magnetics.
  The main control panel of SecureSmith EZ is the brain of the system that controls the electrical points within the premises via the G-LOP automation devices. The G-LOP socket controls any consumer appliances while the D-RF magnetics protect anything that requires to be opened or closed such as doors.

  Meanwhile, the infra-red keypad is able to control various consumer appliances via remote control, and the four-button handheld commander is to arm and disarm the alarm system.
  According to Teh, the company's SecureSmith Integrated Intelligent security system that offers security, automation and video-surveillance features with an optional iNix Centralised Monitoring System (i-CMS), is deployed by housing developers such as Palam Mesra Sdn Bhd.
  The SecureSmith Integrated Intelligent System offers up to 22 security zones and has the ability to command over 4,000 household appliances from a single board. This system can also support multiple wired and wireless cameras.
