Inix Group was incorporated on 13th September 2004 in Malaysia under the act as a public company. It was established to be the investment holding company of the group in conjunction with the listing of the Group on the MESDAQ Market.
The INIX Group is principally involved in the development and sales of integrate intelligent wireless security, automation and CCTV surveillance system for home as well as for business users. INIX's systems are sold under the SecureSmithTM brand and mainly focus on the intelligent home and building automation solutions. The latest version of INIX's proprietary SecureSmith are designed with intercom, voice messaging and internet capabilities.

The Group's achievements in product development and commercialization for the above said system have received the following recognition :
- "Most Promising Start-Up" Award at the Venture Accelerate 2003 organized by Bursa Securities, Malaysia Venture Capital Association, McKinsey & Co and Malaysian Institute of Management;
- "ITEX Gold Medal" at 16th International Invention Innovation Industrial Design & Technology Exhibition 2005 ("ITEX 2005") organized by the Malaysian Invention Design Society; and
- "Special Award" from the president of Korean Invention Promotion Association at ITEX 2005.
- "Industry Excellence for IT Award 2004" at the MCBC Business Excellence Award organized y the MCBC;
- "ITEX Silver Medal" at the 15th International Invention Innovation Industrial Design & Technology Exhibition 2004 organized by the Malaysian Invention & Design Society;
